I bought my first Star Fire Farms foal in March 2012, SFF Roll of the Dice AKA Willow, and have been more than pleased with my purchase! Star Fire Farms raises foals with great minds who are very versatile. Willow has been a pleasure to work with, has a very quiet and friendly nature and is a quick learner. I'm looking forward to having her started under saddle this spring. I was so happy with my first purchase from them, that I have bought a second filly this past spring, SFF Blue Smoke, I am looking forward to bringing her home and working with her. I would more than recommend Star Fire Farms for your next prospect purchase. P.J. is excellent to work with and makes your purchase a breeze. Kathleen Antony - Calder, Sk

Meet "Pete"

December 16, 2012- It was a usual morning for  us until I received a Facebook message from Kendall (Manitoba Paint Horse club)..... “Guess WHAT Gail!! We did the Manitoba Paint Horse Club Raffle draw yesterday at our year end meeting.... YOU won the COLT! (Hurray!)”.... I had only just bought tickets from Kendall a month before – I have 2 daughters that are in to horses so I wrote each ones name with mine on the tickets...well Signey won.  There was much celebrating that morning, some sadness and mostly disbelief. We had never won anything much less a horse! I contacted PJ and we were able to meet up in Brandon over the Christmas  holidays.  He was the cutest little guy, he didn’t want to get off PJ’s trailer and in the middle of winter it wasn’t much fun trying to get him onto ours....but we managed. We arrived home in one piece and he immediately became a favourite. He has an amazing temperament and trainability – wow. He has a bond with Signey that is so strong, he trusts her and will do anything she asks...he wasn’t even a year old and she had him hopping in and out of the trailer by himself, saddled, bridled and blanketed.  This summer she had him standing while tied, painted his hooves, shaved his bridle path, lunged, walking over bridges and walking through obstacles.  He has been walked down our road with hardly a care that he is away from his friends, Pete takes it all in stride and we can’t wait for what the future will bring. We have booked 30 days to start him this spring and I am sure he will exceed in this part of his training as well. We feel we hit the jackpot with Pete and are lucky to own such a genuine horse. PJ has kept in contact since we have had him and is always thrilled with his progress. I would recommend Star Fire Farms for your next prospect.

Thanks Gail & Sygney for this great write up & these great pictures!

This pretty filly came to me as a lone yearling for halter breaking. Very sensible filly with a lot of try. Needless to say, feel in love with her speed, athletic ability and charming personality. She now resides with me at Silver Lining Ranch as a barrel prospect.

Also have had the honor of halter breaking Star Fires 2013 weanlings. Exceptionally fine stock to work with, willing level headed foals. Great breeding program PJ Look forward to continuing business!!!
